Monobook vs. Common

Hello,

I am a sysop on the English Wiktionary. I avoid CSS most of the time. The preferences you have at Special:Preferences allow you to select a "Skin". This skin tells the software what files to use. For the default Monobook skin, it is MediaWiki:Monobook.js, MediaWiki:Monobook.css, Special:Mypage/monobook.js, and Special:Mypage/monobook.css.

The MediaWiki:Common.css is used by other skins, such as "Classic."

So to change fonts for "the whole site", you need to update both.

Sindhi pages on Meta

Hello Zafar,

Checking the category m:Category:Deleteme on Meta, I noticed that the pages m:Sd.وڪي اخبار:مضمون نگاريءَ جو نشان and m:Sd.وڪي اخبار:استعمال ۾ ايندڙ ٽيگ are quite similar. Maybe one of these could be deleted, i.e. m:Sd.وڪي اخبار:مضمون نگاريءَ جو نشان?

The both Templates are not in use, I made, when I was trying some pages for translation, so I added alternate pages in http://sd.wikinews.org those pages are not in use now Zafar 17:46, 26 سيپٽمبر 2006 (UTC)

Ok, thanks! Can we also delete the Sindhi pages you created or are they still in use? According to the deletion policy, articles transwikied to or already present on another project can be deleted.

My second question about LOGO

Firstly, you have to reduce the size of the logo, with a width of about 135 pixels (for example, the size of the English Wikinews logo is 135px by 104px).

Then, upload the size-reduced logo under the name "Wiki.png" and protect it.

Finally, you can put a request on Bugzilla to ask the developers to switch the logo (see for example bugzilla:4514 or bugzilla:7373).

Tim Starling set the logo earlier this day. It has been protected, so if you want to upload a new version, you may ask a Wikimedia Commons administrator to unprotect it. Cheers! Korg 17:02, 3 آڪٽوبر 2006 (UTC)

To avoid the logo overlap, you probably have to clean up the system messages (MediaWiki:Common.css, MediaWiki:Monobook.css or MediaWiki:Main.css). Korg 17:16, 3 آڪٽوبر 2006 (UTC)

I dont want to make changes in Monobook
